VISTA–A male found dead inside a Vista apartment complex laundry room last Saturday morning was identified today.
The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as Vista resident Miguel Alejandro Ruiz. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide. The remainder of the autopsy has been sealed.
Deputies received a call just before 4:30 a.m. January 14 to investigate a report of a person down, inside the apartment complex, located at 1500 block of South Melrose Drive. When deputies arrived they found a deceased Hispanic male adult with trauma to his body inside the laundry room.
A motive for the homicide has not been determined.
