Man Found Dead In Spring Valley Alley

SPRING VALLEY–Authorities are investigating the death of a man found shot in a Spring Valley alley.

Early Thursday morning Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting in an alley behind the 8900 block of Delrose Avenue.

Deputies searched the area and found an unresponsive adult male on the ground with severe injuries. Deputies began life saving measures and requested medical assistance. Deputies and medics were not able to revive the man and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Homicide Unit responded and has assumed responsibility for the investigation. They are asking for the community’s help to solve this crime.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will notify the next of kin and perform an autopsy to determine the man’s cause and manner of death.
