Man Found Dead In San Diego Apartment

August 20, 2015 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO–Homicide detectives are searching for leads of a San Diego man found dead Wednesday morning at an apartment in San Diego.

On Wednesday, at 9:57 a.m., officers and paramedics responded to a 911 call of a deceased male at an apartment in the 5700 block of Friars Road. Officers located a 31 year-old male in the bedroom of the apartment. The male had trauma to his upper body and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Medical Examiner was unable to determine a cause of death and requested the San Diego Police Homicide Unit respond to take over the investigation. Homicide detectives contacted a female resident of the apartment and transported her to police headquarters to be interviewed. She was subsequently released. The Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine a cause of death.

The victim’s identity is known, but will not be released pending family notifications.
