OCEANSIDE–Oceanside police arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a man found laying on the ground near Libby Lake Park in Oceanside.
On Saturday, homicide investigators arrested Stuart Lopez, 29, of Oceanside. He was booked into the Vista Detention facility for the murder of David Orozco.
On November 21, Oceanside police found the body of a man shot early Wednesday morning near Libby Lake Park.
The man’s body was found lying in the 500 block of Calle Montecito. The victim suffered trauma to his upper body, according to Oceanside Police Department spokesman Tom Bussey.
Shortly before 3 a.m., police officers responded to a report of possible gunshots near Libby Lake Park. When officers arrived they found a single victim lying in the street deceased.
