Man Arrested For Stabbing Deaths At Mobile Home Park

December 2, 2015 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO–San Diego police officers arrested a man in connection with the stabbing death of two people in a Otay Mesa mobile home park.

On Monday, at about 7:30 p.m., 29 year-old Raymond Joseph Chatterfield was taken into custody at the Jack in the Box restaurant located at 1132 30th Street in San Diego.

On Monday afternoon, San Diego police officers responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious male and female inside a residence, in the mobile home park located in the 1000 block of Beyer Way.

Police officers entered the residence a found 78 year-old Donna Chatterfield and 54 year-old Kenneth Chatterfield lying on the floor. Both had sustained multiple stab wounds. Medics attempted life-saving measures, but both succumbed to their wounds and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicated the suspect and both victims are related. Raymond Chatterfield is the grandson of Donna Chatterfield and the nephew of Kenneth Chatterfield.

Raymond Chatterfield has been booked into the San Diego County Jail charged with two counts of murder and is scheduled to be arraigned in San Diego Superior Court on Thursday.

Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to call the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
