VISTA–A male juvenile was arrested Monday morning for allegedly graffiti vandalism in Vista.
Vista COPPS deputies executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence at 300 West Los Angeles Drive. The search warrant was served in conjunction with an ongoing graffiti vandalism investigation involving no less than 462 incidents of graffiti vandalism cleaned up by the City of Vista, deputies say.
The cleanup associated with the tag “SLIK” has cost the city approximately $139,000. The suspect residing at the home was identified as using the tag “SLIK.” Several items of evidence were collected from the residence.
Graffiti Tracker, an investigative tool used to track acts of graffiti vandalism was also used in the investigation and identification of “SLIK.”
The juvenile was booked into Juvenile Hall on vandalism related charges.
