San Diego, CA–Mainly Mozart, the nationally renowned producer of classical music concerts best known for its All-Star Orchestra, announced its annual Gala to be held on May 7 at the Hyatt Regency Aventine in La Jolla.

The gala will be an evening of glamour and celebration recognizing the many programs Mainly Mozart provides to the local music community.

The co-chairs for the evening, which is dedicated to the memory of former board member Richard Esgate, are Ron McMillan and Rhianna White along with Jacquie and Michael Casey.

“Gala 2022 honors Richard Esgate for his seven years as a brilliant strategic planner on the Mainly Mozart Board,” said Gala Chair Ron McMillan “Not only did Richard contribute presence, time and treasure, but his good heart fully embraced our needs. In 2013, he and his wife Arlene were inspiring supporters of the new Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra. They joyfully served as Honorary Chairs of The Gala three times. Richard’s legacy of caring lives on at Mainly Mozart along with his great delight in sharing music and parties with friends.”

The gala will begin with a champagne reception, silent and live auctions, Dom Perignon opportunity drawing, and feature a butler-served dinner and live performance showcasing artists of the Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra.

“The new era of Mainly Mozart is more fun than ever,” said gala co-chair Rhianna White. “Our 2022 gala will feature some of the world’s best musicians and it’s set to be the most glamorous event that San Diego has ever seen. Finally, the excuse you were looking for to get all dressed up!”

Funds from this annual event are used to support Mainly Mozart´s All-Star Orchestra as well as its 250-member Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra.

Tickets for the black-tie optional event are $500 per person. To purchase tickets or VIP tables, sponsor or learn more about the annual gala, visit https://www.mainlymozart.org/gala
