RAMONA–Two unidentified burglars early Friday morning pulled an ATM machine from its foundation inside a grocery store in Ramona, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.
The Sheriff’s Department received a commercial burglary alarm around 4:15 a.m. at the Ramona Farms Market, located at 838 Main Street. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the steel framed front doors were torn off the hinges. Deputies searched the interior of the business, but found no suspects inside. Deputies determined the loss consisted of one ATM machine that was located near the front door of the business. It appeared the suspects cut the lock and a chain securing the front doors and attempted to pry the doors open. Unable to gain entry, they used their truck to ram the doors. Subsequently, they shattered the doors and entered the business. Using a chain tied to their truck, the suspects pulled the ATM machine from its foundation and drove away heading north on Main Street.
The driver appeared to be a Caucasian or Hispanic man who was heavyset wearing a green jacket, blue pants, tan boots, and a black balaclava covering his face. The passenger appeared to be a Caucasian or Hispanic man with a medium build wearing all black clothing, and using a black T-shirt to cover his face. The vehicle was a white or silver Ford F250 or F350, long bed, extra cab with silver running boards.
