OCEANSIDE–Oceanside police arrested a man in connection with the stabbing death of an Oceanside man on Sunday, the Oceanside Police Department said.
On Tuesday, detectives located and arrested 28-year-old Ferris Shawn Penson for the murder of 32-year-old Armando Contreras.
On Sunday, police and paramedics responded to a reported stabbing victim at 401 Mission Avenue in Oceanside. Police officers found Contreras outside of a vehicle laying on the sidewalk with a significant stab wound to his upper body. He was transported to Palomar Hospital and taken into surgery, where he succumbed to his injuries.
This incident was determined to have occurred in the 500 block of North Clementine Street.
The case investigation is ongoing.
