SAN DIEGO–The driver last week who struck and killed a pedestrian near Old Town and fled the scene was arrested by authorities on Monday.
California Highway Patrol investigators arrested 38-year-old Corundolus Toussaint about 9:30 p.m. for his involvement in Saturday morning’s pedestrian fatality.
Toussaint was determined to be the driver of the blue 2004 Honda that struck the pedestrian. He was booked into the San Diego County Jail for felony hit and run causing injury or death injury.
On February 24, at approximately 2:43 a.m., the pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 5 southbound, north of Old Town Avenue.
