CARLSBAD–A driver entering his vehicle was confronted by a man who forced him from his vehicle and drove off.

The vehicle was stolen Friday, just after 8:30 p.m., in the area of Estrella De Mar and Alga Road in Carlsbad, according to Carlsbad police department.

The victim, a 22-year-old male, reported that he had his vehicle stolen from him by an unknown man. The suspect was described as a male wearing unknown clothing.

The victim stated that he had unlocked his vehicle at the time of the contact and an unknown male put a blunt object to the back of victim’s head while demanding the victim’s keys. The victim gave the man the keys to the vehicle and the he fled the scene.

The victim sustained no injuries from the incident. The vehicle taken is described as a gold Honda Pilot with a California license plate #7VHB799.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect and vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
