Fallbrook, CA–Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant Thursday morning at an illegal marijuana grow, and arrested two people on the property in Bonsall.
Both adults were arrested on felony charges related to the illegal marijuana grow investigation and booked into the county jail.
Deputies from the Fallbrook Crime Suppression Team with the assistance of detectives from the San Diego County Sheriff Department’s Marijuana Enforcement Team and deputies from the Special Enforcement Detail served the warrant at 7 a.m. on a property located in the 30000 block of North River Road.
During the investigation, deputies discovered numerous hazardous materials and a butane honey oil lab on the property. The labs have specific safety concerns due to the unique dangers they create, authorities said.
It is not uncommon for investigators to find hazardous materials associated with the labs. The hazardous materials may enter the local groundwater supply and streams, creating extreme environmental hazards. The San Diego County’s Hazmat Team were called to the property and removed several hazardous materials.
Detectives seized three firearms (one of them reported as being stolen), 550 pounds of processed marijuana, 11 pounds of concentrated cannabis, 17 pounds of THC infused edibles, 1.5 pounds of psilocybin, 234 Fentanyl pills, 40 ecstasy pills, and $7,128 US currency.
The warrant is part of an active investigation of illegal marijuana grow operations in residential areas in Bonsall, Sheriff’s Department Deputy Lester Garman said.
