OCEANSIDE–Westminster police officers arrested a husband and wife Tuesday in connection with the death of a man on January 1 in downtown Oceanside.
On Tuesday, Westminster Police detained two people attempting to pass stolen checks. Officers learned that the suspects, Jereme and Kelsey Rasmussen were wanted in connection with the murder of David Viars who was found with stab wounds to his body in the 1100 block of North Coast Highway.
Both individuals were identified by the Oceanside Police Departments Crimes of Violence Unit as suspects in this case and have been arrested.
