ALPINE–A 2-1/2 month old tiger cub found roaming in a neighborhood in Hemet was transferred Friday to the Lions Tigers and Bears sanctuary in Alpine.
Bobbi Brink, founder and director of Lions Tigers and Bears, agreed to take the cub from California Fish and Wildlife officials.
The sanctuary will provide refuge to the cub and provide it with necessary medical care.
The cub was turned into the Ramona Humane Society in San Jacinto County by an anonymous woman, after it was found roaming her residential neighborhood on September 3. It is unclear where the cub came from.
