San Diego, CA–The San Diego Brewers Guild has announced the return of the fourth annual SD Beer Weekend, scheduled to take place June 27 through June 29.
The three-day event, presented by the nonprofit Brewers Guild, offers a lead-in to the highly anticipated San Diego Beer Week this fall.
This year’s festivities are headlined by the Rhythm & Brews Festival, which will take over downtown Vista on June 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. Set in the parking lot at the corner of Citrus Avenue and Broadway, the event will feature live music, food vendors, and unlimited tastings from more than 30 local craft breweries. Attendees must be 21 or older to enter.
“This is the perfect way to kick off the Fourth of July week,” said Erik Fowler, Executive Director of the San Diego Brewers Guild. “Craft beer, music, and sunshine is all you need for a weekend that celebrates a thriving San Diego industry.”
Early bird general admission tickets are available for $65 (plus fees) through May 28, increasing to $75 beginning May 29. VIP tickets, which include early access to special pours starting at noon, are priced at $80 (plus fees) until May 28, and $90 afterward. Designated driver tickets will be sold for $20 cash at the door.
The musical lineup includes performances by Soulseller, LOOM, and DJ Goldie, while food will be served by local favorites including 7 Siblings, Meche’s Fish Tacos, and Ms. Potato Food Truck. Participating breweries range from well-known names like Belching Beaver Brewery and Pizza Port Brewing Company to smaller standouts such as Pure Project and Abnormal Beer Co.
While Rhythm & Brews serves as the weekend’s main event, individual breweries across San Diego County will host their special events and promotions. Guests are encouraged to check the Brewers Guild’s online calendar for a full list of activities.
Founded in 1997, the San Diego Brewers Guild has helped nurture a booming craft beer scene that has grown from just 15 breweries to more than 150 independent brewery locations, earning the region the nickname “The Capital of Craft.” The inaugural SD Beer Weekend in 2022 marked the Guild’s 25th anniversary.
San Diego’s brewing excellence continues to shine on the national stage. At the 2025 Brewers Cup of California, seven local breweries took home gold medals, including Burning Beard Brewing (El Cajon), Fall Brewing (Miramar), and Pure Project (Vista). The city also scored big at the 2025 World Beer Cup, with Craft Coast Beer & Tacos and Pizza Port Brewing Company among the local winners.
The San Diego Brewers Guild is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization representing independent breweries and allied businesses that support the craft beer industry across the county.
