Los Angeles, CA–World-renowned and Grammy-Award winning saxophonist Kenny G, today released his first new album in six-years titled New Standards through Concord Records (with 2-LP set for release on February 11, 2022).

Already topping multiple Amazon charts, the 11-song collection of original compositions takes inspiration from the Jazz Ballads of the 50’s and 60’s. The album’s soothing and angelic first single “Emeline” was released this past October to wide critical praise.

“For my new album, I wanted to capture the sound, the vibe, the romance, and the sophistication of the Jazz Ballads ( Standards ) of the 50’s and 60’s, but do it “my way” with my own new original compositions and melodies,” explained Kenny.  “I’m very proud of these ‘New Standards’”.

Kenny is currently on the road with his “The Miracles Holiday & Hits Tour 2021,” in support of New Standards.  Promising to bring Kenny’s signature brand of jazz to the live stage with a night filled with festive spirit and contemporary classics, the 3-week trek is scheduled to hit a number of major US markets including, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, and Boston. Kenny’s tour schedule will continue well into 2022, with shows already on sale as far out as July.

HBO also released a documentary on December 2 titled “Listening to Kenny G,” as part of their Music Box series created by Bill Simmons. Garnering wide critical praise from the likes of Variety who described the film as “ruthlessly entertaining.” “Listening to Kenny G,” is available for streaming on HBO MAX now.

Kenny G is an award-winning saxophonist, the biggest selling instrumental musician of the modern era, and one of the best-selling artists of all time. With global sales totaling more than 75-million records and 1.5 billion streams, the jazz icon has accumulated staggering 24-award nominations throughout his almost 50-year career and has taken home a Grammy Award, American Music Award, NAACP Award, and two Soul Train Music Awards. With classic, top-selling studio albums including Duotones, Silhouette, Breathless, Miracles: The Holiday Album, Heart and Soul, and Brazilian Nights, Kenny has maintained a high level of creative excellence through decades of unprecedented commercial success.

New Standards is available now wherever music is sold and across all streaming and digital platforms.

Kenny G’s store features limited, signed 2xLP colored vinyl, CDs, and test pressings, along with exclusive New Standards merchandise and bundles.
