
CARLSBAD–A female passenger jet skier critically injured in a watercraft collision Sunday afternoon at a Carlsbad lagoon has died of her injuries at a local area hospital, the Carlsbad Police Department reports.
The incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. at California Water Sports, located in the 4200 block of Harrison Street.
Police officers found a 17-year-old male driving one personal watercraft had collided with a second watercraft driven by an adult male with a 39-year-old adult female passenger.
No additional injuries were reported.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision.
