Health Sciences High and Middle College selected as Sharp’s COVID-19 vaccination sites

May 16, 2021 By sdcnews

San Diego, CA–Health Sciences High and Middle College have partnered with Sharp Healthcare to be one of their pop-up COVID-19 vaccination sites.

Beginning Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the campus’ students aged 12 and older, their families, and teachers’ families can sign up for appointments.

The vaccinations will be administered at the Health Sciences High and Middle College campus, located at 3910 University Avenue in San Diego. Walk up appointments will also be accepted for school’s students and their families. Sharp Healthcare will be sending a team to manage sign ins, administer injections, and some will be there simply to cheer on the crowds. There will also be school staff on site to help with the process. Sharp will be administering only the Pfizer vaccine, and will provide information on the vaccine in multiple languages along with permission forms for students. They also plan to return on June 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to administer second doses for all those they vaccinate on Thursday.

“We have always been committed to providing the best opportunities, both inside and outside of the classroom, for our students, faculty, and parents. This is just another way that we are able to keep our school and our community members safe, and ensure everyone has access to the resources they need to stay healthy.” said Sheri Johnson, principal at Health Sciences High and Middle College.

Students, staff and their families can sign up for vaccinations at https://www.caprepmod.org/reg/1192917605.
