CARLSBAD–Gun shots fired Thursday evening in the area of Palm Avenue and Jefferson Street in Carlsbad was likely gang-related, says Carlsbad police.
Carlsbad police received a call of gun shots in the neighborhood. When officers arrived at the location witnesses directed them to a house in the 3400 block of Jefferson. Witnesses reported seeing males running from the house after the sound of gun fire, many leaving the area in vehicles.
A witness described a tan or cream colored four-door vehicle leaving the area.
During their investigation, officers found numerous gunshot holes in the house.
Investigators said gunshots penetrated the outer wall of the house and entered the living area. They said people were seated in the living area at the time, but no one was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
