SAN DIEGO–Pet owners and their costumed four-legged friends are expected to participate in the 12th annual Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade and Holiday Pet Market next month.

The December 15 festivities begin at 12 p.m. with a free Holiday Pet Market. Parade participants can register and pick up a goodie bag filled with neighborhood promotions, treats and other festive items. Registrants can also compete for prizes in 9 different themed costume contests at MLK Promenade Park, adjacent to the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. At 2 p.m. parade participants will stroll their pet up Fifth Avenue under the Gaslamp Quarter Archway. After the parade, participants reconvene at MLK Promenade Park where the costume contest winners will be announced at the Pet Parade stage.

Furry, scaly and feathered family members alike are welcome to jingle all the way through the Gaslamp Quarter in their best festive costumes to ring in the holiday season.

Registration is $15 per pet in advance and $20 on the day of the event. Participants are encouraged to register in advance as space in the parade is limited and will fill up fast.

To register, for more information, or to download the Pet Parade entry form, visit www.holidaypetparade.com.
