Freeway, Street Closures For San Diego Police Officer Jonathan De Guzman Funeral Procession

August 4, 2016 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO–Motorists are advised to expect delays on Friars Road near Qualcomm Stadium and San Diego freeways Friday during the funeral procession for fallen San Diego Police Department Officer Jonathan “JD” De Guzman.

The procession is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. from Qualcomm Stadium. Traffic on Friars Rd. near Qualcomm Stadium will be heavily impacted as the procession leaves the stadium towards the funeral home.

The procession will continue Eastbound Interstate 8 to Greenfield Drive in El Cajon. Motorists can anticipate delays in these and surrounding areas and plan accordingly.

A procession after the service is planned between 1 to 2 p.m. which will leave Shadow Mountain Community Church and arrive at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, westbound I-8,  Southbound State Route 125, Southbound State Route 54, and Bonita Rd. The fallen San Diego Police Department Officer will be remembered with tributes and monuments in his final resting place.
