Freedom Boat Club Of San Diego Hosts Grand Opening Dock Party To Celebrate New Location

May 31, 2016 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO—Freedom Boat Club of San Diego, a members-only boat club that provides members access to a fleet of quality boats, located in Mission Bay, said today their expansion to Cabrillo Isle Marina on Harbor Island.

To celebrate the new addition, the club will host a grand opening event on Saturday, June 4, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the new location. The grand opening will include a tour of the club and boats, live music, Louisiana-style catered food, drinks and kid-friendly activities. As a special offer, the company will offer a $1,000 discount off of membership for those interested in signing up during the week of event.

“We are fortunate and grateful to expand our services in America’s Finest City to give our members the opportunity to further enjoy the waters and Downtown skyline of San Diego,” said Dan Hasbrouck, owner of Freedom Boat Club of San Diego. “Through Freedom Boat Club of San Diego, we are able to provide our local community with an affordable and hassle free option to boat ownership. We want to let more San Diegans know about our club, so we are putting together a grand opening dock party that will let us showcase the type of fun people can have by becoming a member.”

Freedom Boat Club of San Diego provides individuals an alternative to boat ownership through a one-time membership fee and reasonable monthly dues. Upon signup, members are granted access to a fleet of boats in San Diego, at both locations in Mission Bay and San Diego Bay, along with over 110 Freedom Boat Club locations nationwide. Members of the club can utilize the boats on a regular basis to fish, whale watch, water ski, partake in water-sports, wine and dine and more, all while exploring Downtown’s cityscape.

Freedom Boat Club of San Diego first opened its doors in San Diego at Dana Landing Marina in Mission Bay in 2014. The two locations will have 18 boats, and the club expects to have 24 boats by the end of the year. The fleet includes fishing boats, pontoon boats, ski boats and deck boats.

“Freedom Boat Club prides itself in delivering affordable membership options that fit the lifestyle needs of those who want to reap the benefits of having a boat but don’t want to take on the full responsibilities of owning one,” said Hasbrouck. “Our skilled staff takes care of boat maintenance, dock fees, insurance, training and more. We invite and encourage the public to come out, have a blast with us at the dock party and learn more about Freedom Boat Club of San Diego—so that they too, can relish and build lifelong memories with friends and loved ones.”

The grand opening celebration will feature local acoustic and blues artist, Bob Peace, and beer and wine will be served for those 21 and over. There will also be kid activities for families with children to enjoy and fun raffle ticket giveaways with prizes to win. To RSVP for the event, email dhasbrouck@freedomboatclub.com.
