Four Males Arrested For Vandalizing Santee School And Park

June 20, 2015 By sdcnews

SANTEE—One adult male, and three juveniles were arrested and charged with vandalism, arson and burglary of a Santee high school and park, Sheriff’s deputies said Friday.

Deputies say the juveniles and adult male, Daniel Johnson,18 of Santee, had paint on their clothes matching the paint used to vandalize the park.

Early Friday morning, Sheriff’s Deputies from the Santee Station responded to a call of male suspects kicking the door of the concession stand at West Hills Park in Santee.

When the deputies arrived, they discovered evidence of vandalism including signs that were broken, paint spread around, wires pulled out of electrical boxes, and the concession stand door opened. There was also vandalism at West Hills High School, near the park, including several windows shattered, lights broken, trees uprooted, trash burned in a can, and a school vehicle with a brick thrown through the windshield.

The cost of damage at both locations was estimated to be over $25,000.00.
