Femme Fatales Wraps Up Second Season

July 25, 2012 By sdcnews

LOS ANGELES–The groundbreaking, hit anthology series “Femme Fatales” is wrapping up its second season with a super-sized season finale, “Libra,” a superhero episode created by Bob Layton (IronMan).

Betsy Rue (My Bloody Valentine 3-D) stars as the titular black spandex clad heroine along with Adam Huss, Steve Railsback (Lifeforce, The Stunt Man), Ilia Volok (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) and Jeff Fahey (Machete, Lost). Libra airs Friday, August 10 at 11 p.m. following on the heels of this week’s “One Man’s Death”with Mad Men’s Sadie Alexandru, Mistresses Jes Macallan and Starship Trooper’s Casper Van Dien as a washed-up Jake Gittes-like private detective and the grindhouse homage, “Hell Hath No Furies” on August 3.

But the hot “Femme Fatales” action isn’t over yet! Season one of the cult smash Entertainment Weekly calls “a badass-chick anthology series” and Geek Monthly hails as “50% Tarantino, 50% Sin City, 100% Cool” will be out on home video in January from eOne Home Entertainment, featuring over six hours of bonus features, including insightful audio commentary on every episode.

In addition, Cinequest debuted the new trading card series based on Femme Fatales Magazine at San Diego Comic Con featuring images from the series about powerful, sexy and dangerous women inspired by and styled in the tradition of pulp stories, film noir and graphic novels.

And from Movie Score Media comes the Original Soundtrack Album featuring the critically acclaimed score from Jack Reacher composer Joe Kraemer including music from every episode of the series.

The “Femme Fatales” TV series and movies are both inspired by the bestselling magazine of the same name that launched in 1987 and is devoted to the sexy sirens of film, television, music and the web.
