Fair Tripper Offers Relief For San Diego County Fair-Goers

June 2, 2016 By sdcnews

OCEANSIDE–The North County Transit District (NCTD) is helping to ease traffic and parking issues for those attending the San Diego County Fair by offering transportation to and from the West Gate of the Del Mar Fair Grounds each day the Fair is open.
Customers can take advantage of this offer by using the Coaster or Breeze Route 101 to get to the Solana Beach Station and transferring to Breeze Route 408 to get to the Fair. The 408 runs hourly from Escondido with a stop at Solana Beach Station and the Fair.
For only $1 more than a regular adult ticket to the Fair, NCTD is offering a $17.00 Fair Tripper combo ticket. This ticket includes round-trip Coaster, Sprinter, and Breeze fare, and one-day admission to the Fair for one person.

Fair Tripper combo tickets can be purchased from NCTD ticket vending machines (located at Coaster and Sprinter stations) under the Current Promotions option. Riders can also buy tickets online or from the NCTD mobile app.
Current NCTD pass holders can get a $3.50 discount on same-day adult, senior, or child Fair admission by showing their valid transit pass/ticket at the West Gate box office.
The Fair opens this Friday, June 3, and runs until July 4.
