CARLSBAD–Investigators from the Carlsbad police are asking the public’s help in identifying the individual(s) who tossed an explosive device from their vehicle Saturday night.
At 9:54 p.m., officers received a call of an exploding object being tossed from a vehicle.
Officers responded to the 6700 block of Camphor Place and discovered an opened plastic bottle in the street with an unknown liquid coming from it. It was later determined that the plastic bottle was a destructive device.
The Carlsbad Fire Department and the San Diego County HazMat responded to the scene to handle the liquid coming from the bottle.
No one was injured as a result of the explosion and no property was damaged.
The only suspect description was possibly a white SUV fleeing from the area southbound Camphor Place towards Camino De Las Ondas just after the explosion
