ESCONDIDO–A North County Transit District bus driver Thursday evening was shot inside his parked bus by an unknown gunman at the Escondido Transit Center, according to Escondido Police Department.
Paramedics transported the driver to Palomar Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Three men were involved in a physical altercation at the transit center when one suspect pulled a firearm and began shooting at another man. The bullet went through the bus window and struck the driver. All three men fled the transit center.
Police officers located two of the men and took them into custody. The third man was not with them. The identity of the arrested men have not been released.
The investigation is on-going.
