WOW – Women Of Wrestling returns to Comic-Con with panel

By SDCN Staff

San Diego, CA–WOW – Women Of Wrestling, the world’s only all-female wrestling organization with a global presence, returns to San Diego for a special panel at this year’s San Diego International Comic-Con.

The panel, titled “WOW – Women Of Wrestling on Female Representation in Sports and Discovering New Talent,” will take place on July 25, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 6DE at the San Diego Convention Center. Variety’s Senior TV Editor Emily Longeretta will moderate the discussion.

Panelists include WOW co-owners Jeanie Buss and David McLane, along with WOW Superheroes Lindsey and Laurie Carlson—known as Miami’s Sweet Heat—Paola Mayfield, and Santana Garrett. Together, they’ll explore the growing presence of women in professional sports, the intersection of wrestling and comic book storytelling, and what lies ahead for women in the ring.

McLane, a pioneer in women’s wrestling and the creator of the original GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling television series, continues to lead the charge in transforming the landscape of the sport.

WOW is recognized for its high-energy entertainment that blends athleticism with dramatic storytelling, all while maintaining a mission to inspire and empower women and fans worldwide. The series is distributed globally through Paramount Global Content Distribution.
