EL CAJON–A pedestrian crossing a roadway at 500 Broadway Jan. 3 was hit by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after striking the victim.
El Cajon police officials say the victim had major injuries to his leg and head. The victim was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he is undergoing treatment and is in critical condition.
There are no known witnesses to the collision. Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information regarding the identity of the driver is encouraged to call the El Cajon Police Department at (619) 579-3311.
