El Cajon police awarded $3,660 grant

June 22, 2010 By Staff

EL CAJON–The El Cajon Police Department was awarded a grant from the San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation (SDCLEF), which will enable officers to perform their duties safer.

The grant of $3,660.00 was used to purchase two ballistic vests for the department Rangemasters and a less than lethal pepper ball launching system.

Over the years, SDCLEF has provided funding to local law enforcement agencies for equipment and educational scholarships. Their dedication to San Diego County’s Police and Sheriff’s Department has enabled agencies to purchase equipment which might not otherwise been acquired.
