SAN DIEGO–Hundreds of dog owners flocked Saturday to Balboa Park to participate in Woofstock, an event benefiting Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit organization that provides assistance dogs to people with disabilities free of charge.

The event featured flyball, disc dogs, a K9 playground, assistance dog demonstrations, live music, a silent auction, unique pet products, a costume contest, and a kids zone.
