SAN DIEGO–Get ready for a tail wagging good time at DogFest Walk ‘n Roll San Diego, the signature national event of Canine Companions for Independence.
The event will include a scenic, fully accessible, 1.2 mile dog walk, and a celebration with presentations on Canine Companions, live music, vendor booths, human and dog contests, and an Agility Fun Zone.
DogFest Walk will be held November 14 NTC Park at Liberty Station, located on 2455 Cushing Road in San Diego. Registration is 8 to 9 a.m.; walk 9 to 10 a.m., and festival 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Canine Companions for Independence, which has its Southwest Regional Training Center in Oceanside, is a non-profit organization that provides assistance dogs to people with disabilities completely free of charge.
Through Canine Companions for Independence, adults, children and veterans with disabilities such as spinal cord injuries, autism, amputations and deafness are served. Also served by Canine Companions are professionals in facilities that assist children, adults and veterans in their recovery.
