County health lifts water contact closure for Imperial Beach and Strand shorelines

San Diego, CA–The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality has lifted the water contact closure for the Imperial Beach shoreline and the Silver Strand shoreline. 

This includes all beaches north of the south end of Seacoast Drive. 

Recent water quality testing has confirmed that the ocean water is safe for recreational use following recent sewage impacts.
