Ramona, CA–County public health officials issued a boil water order for Ramona Oaks RV Park after water samples found bacterial contamination in the drinking water system.
The Department of Environmental Health and Quality issued the order at the park, located at 24340 Highway 78, effective immediately.
The water system supplies water to 125 recreational vehicle spaces, 6 tent spaces, an office, clubhouse, swimming pool and spa, laundry and public restrooms with showers with an average daily population of 250 persons
The drinking water system is undergoing an investigation to determine the source of total coliform bacteriological contamination at Well 1.
The Boil Water Order was issued to ensure all water used is free from bacterial contamination and will remain in effect until laboratory results confirm the absence of bacteria in the water supply.
