San Diego, CA–Each fall, thousands of people are expected to show up at the 34th annual Clairemont Family Day, a free event to celebrate families and the local community.

The event will be held on September 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Clairemont Diversion Center, located at 3600 Clairemont Drive in San Diego.

The festivities will include a pancake breakfast fundraiser, a carnival zone, free pony rides, yoga, live music, and entertainment featuring bands, dancers, and magicians, locally owned businesses, community and information booths.

Clairemont Family Day is also home to “The Greatest Car Show on Turf” with 250 cars hosted by the San Diego Association of Car Clubs. Admission is free.

“Clairemont Family Day is a chance for neighbors to have a fun-filled afternoon with their families, meet others, and support local businesses and organizations. It is amazing to see our community join together on one day,” says Emily Cottrell, a board member of the South Clairemont Park and Recreation Council, a nonprofit association, and who heads a volunteer committee consisting of Clairemont residents who are organizing the event. “The funds raised from Clairemont Family Day benefit community events at the Clairemont neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and the Clairemont Pool.”

The City of San Diego Parks and Entertainment Division will present AquaFest @ Clairemont Family Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clairemont Pool, located at 3600 Clairemont Drive in San Diego.

The public is welcome to swim, sprinkle, and play at the city’s biggest pool party which is one of the numerous exercises accessible at the event. The event is free to the public.

“As one of the largest true community events, Clairemont Family Day provides an amazing opportunity for families and community members to gather and experience fun activities, local food, and bond,” says Chad Gardner, president and owner of K-Co Construction, who has been a sponsor of the beloved community event for over 15 years.

Clairemont Family Day was introduced by the City of San Diego Park and Entertainment Division, South Clairemont Diversion Chamber, and K-Co Development.

Free parking and a shuttle service are available to the public.
