VISTA–Now that Christmas is over residents in Vista will be looking for ways to properly dispose of their tree.
EDCO will collect Christmas trees from residence beginning, December 26 through January 11 curbside on their regular collection day at no extra charge.
The trees must be cut to four feet or less in length when placed curbside. They must be placed inside the yard waste containers and cut to fit into the yard waste cart with no trees sticking up or out of the yard waste cart. Trimmings, including tinsel and the stand, must be removed.
Organic decorations, such as natural garland and wreaths, can also be placed in the residential designated yard waste container, as well as any Christmas trees on and after January 13.
Residents can drop off their trees between December 26 through January 6, 2020 at 523 South Santa Fe Avenue, public parking lot between South Santa Fe Avenue and Mercantile Street, and the parking lot on the corner of South Melrose Drive and Shadowridge Drive in Vista.
