ESCONDIDO–The James Irvine Foundation awarded the California Center for the Arts Museum a $50,000 grant to be used over the next two years for the purpose of broadening, deepening and diversifying audience participation.
“The benefits of an environment rich with the arts are immeasurable,” said Olivia Luther, Museum Director. “We are pleased to have this opportunity to explore the needs and desires of our audience so that we can continue to deliver innovative and inspirational exhibitions and programs.”
The grant will be used to aid the Museum in exploring the current target audience, and more specifically to understand and develop the audience of young professionals and families from around the region.
Experienceology has been chosen as the project’s consultant and will begin their research this month. Experienceology is a visitor experience consulting practice based and licensed in San Diego, and has extensive experience working with nonprofit cultural attractions to find the best possible solutions to help their clients fulfill their missions.
Over the course of the next two years the firm will assess visitor experience, train volunteer staff to conduct surveys and build re-branding and social media strategies.
