CAMP PENDLETON–The Camp Pendleton Fire Department is scheduled to conduct a controlled burn training exercise in the northern coastal region of the base beginning July 3.
The purpose of the burn is to remove dry brush and vegetation on the San Onofre Shelf. The training exercise is expected to last several days.
A total of 200 acres of land are expected to be used during the exercise.
