Bernie 2020 releases first California TV ads

February 4, 2020 By sdcnews

Sen. Bernie Sanders

CALIFORNIA–Bernie 2020 this week will launch its first TV ads in California, which will run in both Spanish and English.

The ads are part of a 2.5 million TV ad campaign in California and Texas.

“Across the country, millions of Americans have chipped in $10, $18, $27, to our campaign because they trust that Bernie will always fight for them,” Sanders’ Campaign Manager Faiz Shakir said. “It is thanks to our grassroots donors that we can make big investments in the vital states of California and Texas. We have the strength and the enthusiasm to fund a campaign to not only win the Democratic nomination but to defeat Donald Trump and create a political revolution that transforms this country.”

The campaign will run two ads in English, including “Fights For Us,” which highlights Sanders’ unwavering dedication to causes that improve the lives of all Americans and “For All” highlights Sanders’ commitment to fight for working people when he is in the White House.

The campaign will also run an ad in Spanish, titled, “Nuestro Futuro.

All three ads were produced entirely in-house by Bernie 2020 staff.

The ad campaign comes on the heels of a new poll that shows Sen. Sanders with a commanding lead in California. Additionally the Sanders campaign has built an unmatched organizing machine in California, with 90 paid staffers and 20 offices open across the state.

To date, the Bernie 2020 California team has already knocked on more than 441,000 doors, held more than 7,500 canvasses, phone banks, and other direct voter contact events, have made more than 3.5 million phone calls to California voters, and have received more than 125 endorsements from elected officials.
