Barons Market Raises $3,000 For San Diego Food Bank

July 4, 2015 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO–Last night, 300 people flocked to their local Barons Market to enjoy cold brews and gourmet appetizers for the local speakeasy known as Barons Backroom Beer Pairings.

Beer lovers and foodies in Alpine, Temecula, Wildomar, Rancho Bernardo and Point Loma helped the family-owned business raise $3,000 for the San Diego Food Bank in just two hours. After almost two years of perfecting its Backroom Beer Pairings, last night Barons hosted the event at all five locations in Southern California for the first time.

“This event embodies everything Barons believes in – bringing our community together, giving back and of course, quality beer and food,” says Barons Marketing Manager Rachel Shemirani. “We’re proud to donate one hundred percent of the proceeds to the San Diego Food Bank — an organization that delivers millions of pounds of food each year so everyone has enough to eat. That’s something Barons will cheers to.”

Barons Backroom Beer Pairings take on a speakeasy feel as the market transforms its back rooms and loading docks into a beer and food lover’s paradise. The July 1 tasting featured coveted microbrews from Temecula-based Garage Brewing Co. paired with untraditional Fourth of July appetizers to create all-American flavors.
