Authorities search for two suspects in connection with stabbing in Vista

October 4, 2019 By sdcnews

VISTA–The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the two unidentified males in connection with the stabbing of a man in Vista.

On the evening of September 22, a female and her female passenger were parking their vehicle inside their garage at their residence off of Palomar Place in Vista. The passenger exited the vehicle to move a trash can. At this time, a white Ford work type truck stopped behind their vehicle. The suspect, described as a white male adult approximately 5’10”, medium build with short “buzzed cut” brown hair, exited the truck and approached their vehicle. The suspect opened the driver’s door, pointed a knife at the female and demanded she get out of the car.

During the confrontation, a male neighbor observed what was happening and came to help the female. The neighbor engaged the suspect in a physical confrontation. During the confrontation, the neighbor was stabbed in the abdomen by the suspect. The driver of the Ford truck got out and helped the suspect. The suspect and the driver entered the truck and drove away.

The incident appears to be an isolated event. There does not appear to be any relationship between the victims and the suspects and no similar incidents have been reported, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
