SAN DIEGO–Detectives arrested a man in connection with sex trafficking a 15-year-old runaway female in the East county, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department said
On August 14, deputies and detectives from the Alpine Sheriff’s Station, Juvenile Services and the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force were involved in an investigation of a teen suspected of being sex trafficked by an adult male.
As a result of the investigation, the juvenile was returned home Thursday morning. Human Trafficking detectives were able to obtain information that 23-year-old Joseph Price was allegedly responsible for sex trafficking the girl.
At about 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Price was located and arrested in the 9800 Block of Pacific Heights Boulevard in San Diego. Price has been arrested for a parole violation. However, additional charges are pending.
The San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force is led by the California Department of Justice. The Task Force is comprised of investigators from the following agencies: San Diego Police Department, San Diego Sheriff’s Department, San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation – Parole, California Highway Patrol, San Diego County Probation Department, National City Police Department, Escondido Police Department, FBI, and other associate law enforcement agencies.
