SAN DIEGO–San Diego police have arrested two suspects in a series of bank robberies in San Diego county.
On May 10, a female robbed (or attempted to rob) three banks on the same day. The banks were located in Mission Valley, College Grove, and La Mesa. In each case, the suspect was described as a white female, 20s, 5’8”, heavy build, with long blond hair and wearing a large sun hat.
On May 13, a fourth bank robbery took place in La Mesa. The suspect in this case was described as a black male, 20s, wearing a “NY” baseball hat. The suspect was accompanied by the female wearing the sun hat three days earlier.
On May 15, the same male suspect was involved in a fifth robbery in the Liberty Station neighborhood, and a May 26 bank robbery in Oceanside.
San Diego Police Department Sergeant Michael Gordon viewed surveillance photos and recognized the male suspect as Kevin High, an individual he had previously arrested. A Crime Stoppers tip identified the female suspect as Victoria Wilkerson.
High was arrested on June 1 and Wilkerson was arrested on June 9. High has been charged with multiple counts of robbery. Wilkerson was arraigned on June 10.
