Arch Health Partners Welcomes Seven New Family Medicine Physicians

February 25, 2013 By sdcnews

ESCONDIDO–Arch Health Partners (AHP) welcomed seven new family medicine physicians into its family of top-quality physicians.

“Arch Health Partners is very excited to partner with this group of experienced primary-care physicians with such a long-standing presence in Escondido,” AHP Executive Director Victoria Lister, F.A.C.H.E, said.

The seven new AHP physicians are well-known names in North County with excellent reputations. Kenneth Altschuler, M.D., Russel Buzard, D.O., Mark Hubbard, M.D., Thomas Naegeli, M.D., Veena Prabhakar, D.O., Richard Ricci, M.D. and Pany Robinson, M.D., will be based in a new office at the Valley Parkway Health Center, directly across from the Palomar Health Downtown Campus in downtown Escondido.

“We look forward to a mutual and beneficial relationship with Arch Health Partners and its growing network of multi-specialty medical groups,” Dr. Altschuler said.

“We have been in the community for more than 50 years. Our original medical group was known as Penn Elm,” Dr. Altschuler continued. “We are known for providing very personal care. We are up to date with the most advanced treatments and have one of the highest patient satisfaction scores in the county.”

AHP Family Medicine Escondido’s longtime patients will benefit the most from the new partnership as they will not have to travel outside Inland North County to get special services. “Our patients will no longer have to travel to the coast for emergency or hospital services

because all Arch Health Partners patients have access to the new Palomar Medical Center, as well as all other Palomar Health facilities in North County,” Dr. Altschuler said.

Dr. Altschuler’s excitement is shared by his colleagues at AHP Family Medicine Escondido.

“I am very pleased to be a part of Arch Health Partners and the movement to expand primary-care services in North County,” Dr. Buzard said.

“This means so much to us because it means so much for our patients,” Dr. Prabhakar said. “Not only will they have access to the new hospital, they will also have access to many great local health-care providers.”

“Our relationship with Arch Health Partners will allow our patients to stay near their homes for all their care,” Dr. Ricci said.

AHP, in partnership with Palomar Health, has grown to more than 80 physicians in nine locations since being formed in 2010 and is part of the most comprehensive health-care delivery system in northern San Diego County and the largest public health-care district in California.

AHP Family Medicine Escondido is located at 488 East Valley Parkway, Suite 201, across from the Palomar Health Downtown Campus. For more information, call (760) 294-2266.
