SAN DIEGO–Some of the animals brought to San Diego Humane Society from Butte County will be available for adoption on Dec. 28 at 10 a.m.
On Dec. 19, San Diego Humane Society’s Emergency Response Team brought the animals to San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus as they returned from a 10-day deployment in Butte County. During their mission, our team provided care to hundreds of animals who were displaced by the Camp Fire.
The eight dogs and three cats brought to San Diego Humane Society were surrendered by their previous owners who were no longer able to care for them. These pets do not have owners who will be searching for them when conditions improve.
On Friday morning, the animals who will be available for adoption at San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus, 5500 Gaines Street, include Cinnamon, an 11-year-old Shepherd mix, Pikachu and Panchie, a bonded pair of 6-year-old Miniature Pinscher mixes, and Sunshine, a 3-year-old cat.
The available animals can be found on San Diego Humane Society’s website, sdhumane.org/pet. Adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. Other animals from Butte County will become available for adoption in the coming weeks. Check their website and social media pages for updates.
