All Lanes Of Westbound State 78 At 1-15 Closed For Night Work

April 27, 2016 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO–Crews will close all lanes of westbound State Route 78 (SR-78) at the Interstate 15 (I-15) connector Wednesday and Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for pavement work, according to Caltrans.

Motorists will be detoured to the northbound I-15 connector ramp and proceed to the El Norte Parkway off-ramp, then back onto southbound I-15 to the westbound SR-78 connector ramp.

The closures are scheduled at night during lower traffic volumes to minimize impacts to travelers.

Follow @SDCaltrans on Twitter and visit Caltrans District 11 Facebook to keep current on transportation information including planned closures and major traffic incidents on state highways in San Diego and Imperial counties.

Motorists are reminded to Be Work Zone Alert and to Move Over a lane when safe to do so, or slow when highway workers are present with amber lights flashing.
