Aggressive Dogs Attack Man In Libby Lake Park

April 12, 2016 By sdcnews

OCEANSIDE–An adult male was attacked and injured Sunday by three aggressive pit bulls in Libby Lake Park.

Oceanside police officers arrived and witnessed one of the three dogs attacking the male in the park, causing injuries to his hand, arm and leg.

The fficers employed fire extinguishers as attention getting devices to corral the dogs in the preserve area north of the park. Upon arrival of Humane Society officers, the dogs were secured and contained without injury.

The dogs appeared to be in the park by themselves; the owner was not located. The victim was evaluated at the scene by paramedics and chose to self-transport to the hospital.

The Oceanside Police Department reminds all pet owners of their obligation to keep their animals properly secured at all times.
