SAN DIEGO—A 15 year-old male Mount Carmel High School student was arrested Friday in connection with making a terrorist threat against the school, San Diego police says.
On September 18, school officials notified San Diego police after they found a written note on campus indicating an intent to use explosives and a firearm at the school on Friday. Although the initial investigation did not indicate a credible threat, police did consider it to be very serious.
According to police, there is no evidence to indicate the suspect had the ability to carry out the threat or that anybody else was involved.
